The Little friend! The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang first flew in 1940, having been developed in 102 days. The Mustang was initially developed for the Royal Air Force and was later used by the US Army Air Forces as a fighter and to escort bombers on raids over Germany during WWII. The Mustang was used by Allied Forces in multiple theaters during the war, and later used by the United States Air Force during the Korean War. The P-51 was replaced by jet aircraft in the US, but the type remained in service with multiple foreign air forces into the 1980s. More than 15,000 P-51s were built.

Our second edition P-51D tags are offered in 2 variants, both cut from the clear canopy glass: Printed and Laser Etched. The Printed tags come with a frontal view P-51D with our card art printed behind it. These tags are stunning and this technique is our go-to for canopy glass tags. The Laser Etched tags are a new approach to canopy glass tags. These tags feature a top down view of the P-51D that has been engraved/etched into the surface.

Both tags come on our block 2 cards which feature our new layout by BVR. Only 195 tags were cut from the remaining material we had on hand.
