All Air Drops are .125-.25" thick acrylic trading cards with a removed or cut piece of aircraft encapsulated within the card. 
 
AD214 – Air Drops featuring fuselage skin cut from SR-71A 61-7964. The Lockheed SR-71A Blackbird is a Mach 3+ reconnaissance aircraft capable of operating at an altitude of 85,000 ft. The Blackbird was developed from the A-12 – an aircraft built for the United States Central Intelligence Agency. The A-12/SR-71 was the first aircraft to be designed with a reduced radar cross-section. Aircraft 61-7964 was given the nickname “Bododian Express” after making an emergency landing in Bodo, Norway on 13 Aug 1981 due to an engine malfunction. A total of 32 SR-71s were built.
 
Variants:
 
Standard Variant: Air Drops cut from the internal structure will be listed as “Standard” on the drop-down menu and come on a monochromatic card. Many of the “Standard” SR-71A Air Drops feature inspection stamps and part numbers, and three “Removed From A” Standard Air Drops will be fulfilled randomly.
 
Thick Variant: Air Drops cut from the remaining black and red external fuselage skin fragments will be listed as “Thick,” as they come in a thicker .25" thick card. All Thick Air Drops feature a rivet or additional structure, have an irregular cut, and do not entirely fill the space. These are super interesting exterior cuts. The Thick SR-71A Air Drops come on a red card.
 
Autograph Variant: We went nuts with three large pieces of structure that were removed from the panel. These “Autographs” or autos come on a 6.25” wide card and include an original BC Thomas signature that was cut from a few extra mis-punched cards from the original tag run. BC Thomas was the pilot who flew 964 when it diverted into Norway, and the Autograph cards tell the story of this incident. The titanium material itself is larger than a tag and all three feature the Skunkworks inspection stamps.
