The Vought F4U Corsair is a fighter aircraft that first flew in May of 1940. The Corsair served with the United States Navy and Marine Corps primarily during WWII and the Korean War. Despite being designed as a carrier-based fighter, the F4U was also deployed to land-based squadrons. Corsairs saw an 11:1 kill ratio during WWII and the type was retired by the US Navy in 1953 with jet aircraft coming online. More than 12,000 F4Us were built.

These Air Drops were cut from an elevator that was removed from an F4U-5. This elevator featured original skin and was stripped of useable parts to support an ongoing F4U restoration.

For a limited time, all F4U-5 Air Drops come in our acrylic cards.

Fulfillment is random. There are no returns on Air Drops.
