The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is a multi-role fighter/attack aircraft that first flew in 1978. It was primarily used by the United States Navy (retired) and Marine Corps, but also currently serves with multiple foreign militaries. The Hornet first saw combat in 1986 and is renowned for its versatility. US Navy aircraft 162844 was painted in an Arctic Splinter camouflage while serving with the VFC-12 Fighting Omars as an adversary aircraft.

 

These Air Drops were cut from a fuselage panel that was removed from aircraft 162844 while it was being scrapped. Most Drops feature white, grey, or black painted carbon fiber honeycomb or painted aliminum skin.
